Film Birmingham Community

Hello all

My name's Chris Unitt and I run the Created in Birmingham blog which you may or may not have heard of.  I was speaking to a film maker a couple of weeks ago who was complaining about the lack of film challenges in the city.

So I've agreed to organise one myself.

It's called Film Dash and will take place the weekend of 18/19 October.  Details are still coming together but the likely format will be:

• Friday evening (7pm?) - teams will be given the criteria for their films (eg genre/title/line of dialogue/character)
• All films must be in 48 hours later
• Films will be screened later on the Sunday evening

There might be judges and prizes and all that jazz, I'm not too sure yet.  Either way, it'd be great to see a few folks from here get involved.  If you know anyone who might be interested then please point them to the website.
